Trying Something New....

So, one of the groups that I am an administrator for needed an angel for a swap.  It was a technique swap that I had not signed up for as I was pretty busy, but....you do what you have to.  The technique, Retiform Grid Technique, really didn't look very interesting to me...However, I love this card!  I used a CTMH
set of stamps ( Art Philosophy - Celebration) and inks in green, purple, and pink.  For the cupcake, I water colored it with a blender pen.  You can't see it in the picture, but I added a little sparkle to the "frosting" with a Gelly Roll glitter pen.  I then pop dotted the sentiment and added the little crochet flower, button, and twine - all from my stash.  I think I will probably try this one again.

Happy Crafting!

A Little Chocolate Now and Then

So, this is one of those cards that was created as I went.  I knew I wanted it to have a pocket for some chocolate, but other than that.....I just went with it and this is what I ended up with.

A tri-fold box card with a place for chocolate and a message.  I ABSOLUTELY love how it turned out.

I made the chocolate bar by layered squares with pop dots.  I added a piece of foil just like a real candy bar.
The sentiment I created on my computer.
all the papers were from my scrap basket.

This one was created for a swap and I did not take notes on measurements....guess I will have to make another :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Brrr.....Card

Just a quick share today...I was playing around with some stickers and this is one of the cards I created.  The snowman sticker is one of the vellum type, so I placed it on white card stock.  I ran the image through my xyron so that the image was sticky, and then I covered it in Diamond glitter.  I covered the glitter with a sheet of scrap paper and ran the brayer over it a couple times and then dusted off the excess.  Pretty!  I didn't think it needed much since the image was so sparkly.  Fun way to really transform your stickers!

So, what are you crafting today?

Scrappy Cards

A few more scrappy cards...

The butterflies were left over from a previous project and they are just so pretty I had to find a way to use them.  I kept the card simple...challenge for me!  Two more for my card stash!

Sketch Fun

Just a quick share today as  my 'To Do' list is a mile long!  I joined in a sketch challenge on a FB group....I liked the sketch so much I made 4 of the cards to build my stash back up.  Bonus, I used all scraps!  Love my scrappy, sketchy cards!

Hope you have a crafty Monday!

Dandelion Wishes Cards

Made these two cards over the weekend.  They are what I call "Scrappy Cards"...everything except the card base came from my scrap basket!  The embossed images were left over from a 'change of mind'.  They are a Cuttlebug folder.  I added details with Smooch in gold, silver, and pearl.  I then added dew drops in gold, silver, and white.   I used dimensional tape to attach the finished piece to a pre-made glitter cards.  Finally, a bow and sentiment charm to finish them off.  I have to say, I really like how they came out

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a crafty day!

My Top 14

Looking through FB this morning I ran across a fun blog post from a new FB friend, Cindy( Check out her blog here.).  Her post was about her favorite 14 cards she had created over the year. This inspired me to take a look back at my creations over the past year...so, here they are...

I will start with my favorite colorings....I do love to color and these are my favorites of the year.

These are my favorite of my "try something new"....I joined a couple swap groups on FB and it has challenged me to try things I normally wouldn't...and I am loving it!

Okay, these I just love.  The box card was one I tried and loved...and made several more.  I don't know what it is about the little Halloween card, but I had a very had time giving it away!

And finally, these are my top 2...I couldn't just pick one.

I really love the mermaid...she was fun to color and the the finished card has so many fun elements.

This card just makes me smile...the bright colors, the quote, and
the adorable chick!

I have to say, looking back over the past year has made me want to go craft!

Wishing everyone a crafty, creative new year!
